China Steel Export Summit 2007

Steel Guru, as official media partner, is proud to present China Steel Export Summit 2007 which is organized by CBI China on 19th to 20th September 2007 at Asia Hotel, Beijing China.
China shifted from a net importer of steel products to a net exporter in 2006. The total export quantity over 2006 doubled that of 2005. What will export business be in 2007 depends on three factors: restriction of government policies; oversupply in China; overseas demand and trade barriers.
Chinese Government policies have been released to restrict steel export since Q3 2006. Some new policies are to be approved soon, an increase of export duty on low valued steel products, an increase of export duty on steel billet & slab and qualification of steel exporting companies.
Chinese steel market sees oversupply and players regard exporting as a way to balance domestic supply and demand. Global steel apparent consumption is expected to reach 1.179 billion tons in 2007, up by 5.9% from 2006. Global steel demand is expected to grow by 4.9% annually up to 2010.
Is it a challenge or a chance? Will Chinese steel export market see "hard landing" in 2007 To answer these questions, participate in China Steel Export Summit in Asia Hotel, Beijing from September 19 - 20, 2007.
