Sinarsky Pipe Plant gets API certification extension for 3 years

TMK’s Sinarsky Pipe Plant has confirmed the conformity of quality management system and pipe production with standards of American Petroleum Institute.

Auditors of American Petroleum Institute made an examination and acknowledged quality management system to conform with API Spec. Q 1, pipe production to conform with API Spec. 5??, revision 8, with API Spec. 5L, revision 43, API Spec. 5D, revision 5. Summing up the results of their work the auditors recommended American Petroleum Institute to prolong certificate of conformity with API standards to Sinarsky Pipe Plant for the successive three years.

TMK is Russia's largest producer and exporter of pipe products. It produced a total of 2.84 million tons in 2005. TMK has production facilities in Russia and Romania includes OJSC Volzhsky Pipe Plant. OJSC Seversky Tube Works, OJSC Taganrog Metallurgical Works, OJSC Sinarsky Pipe Plant, SC TMK-ARTROM SA and CS Resita SA. Currently TMK supplies pipe products to more than 60 countries. Its customers include such companies as Shell, AGIP, Repsol, Saudi Aramco, Wintershall and Anadarko Petroleum. Among its Russian customers are Gazprom, Transneft, Lukoil, Rosneft, TNK-BP, Surgutneftegaz and other leading companies of the oil and gas industry. Besides the oil and gas industry, TMK pipes are used in other sectors as well such as the chemical and petrochemical industries, engineering, energy, construction and agriculture.
