Chinese steel product in April 2008 up by 11.7% YoY

Statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that China produced run of mine, crude oil and electricity of 210 million tonnes, 15.41 million tonnes and 281.4 billion kilowatt0hour in April 2008, up by 13.9% YoY, 0.5% YoY and 12.8% YoY respectively.

In April 2008, pig iron, crude steel and steel product output reached 41.27 million tonnes, 44.68 million tonnes and 51.61 million tonnes, up by 9.1% YoY, 10.2% YoY and 11.7% YoY respectively.
