China becomes net gas importer for the first time

According to the figures released by China General Administration of Customs, China’s gas export volume amounted to 160,000 tonnes and the volume of import gas stood at 338,000 tonnes in May.

The figures also show China has become a gas net import country for the first time. Meanwhile, the figures say China imported 700,000 tonnes diesel oil, which also hit a new high.
