Pingxiang Steel exports 50,000 tonnes steel in H1 of 2008

It is reported that Jiangxi based Pingxiang Steel has started export business since 2000 and posts continuous export upsurges in recent past years.
Pingxiang Steel exported a total of 50,000 tonnes of steel products in the first six months of this year or USD 60 million in export value.
As per report Pingxiang Steel exported 219,000 tonnes of steel products in 2006, with export value of USD 75.77 million up by 411% YoY from a year before. Export in 2007 rose up to 271,000 tonnes with qualified rate up to 100%. Export value rises 80.8% YoY to USD 137 million in the year.
Pingxiang Steel is ambitious to achieve crude steel output of 8 million tonnes, sales revenue of CNY 30 billion and pretax profit of CNY 3.5 billion by 2010.
