Kyrgyzstan sees Uzbek gas at USD 300 in 2009

According to Mr Akylbek Tumenbaev the deputy minister of industry, energy and fuel resources of Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyzstan plans to buy natural gas from Uzbekistan for at least USD 300 per 1000 cubic meter in 2009.

The gas supply agreement will be signed in late November early December 2008. Kyrgyzstan has exported 500 million KW per hour of electricity as a prepay in exchange for Kazakh coal and Uzbek gas.

The payment for gas is calculated out of the price paid by Russia to Turkmenistan.
