Khaleej Times reported that Navayuga Engineering, one of leading construction companies in India has launched a strong regional expansion plan in the Middle East and targets a turnover of AED 800 million by the end of 2009.

Mr Antony David GM of NEC Abu Dhabi said that it is planning to expand its operations to Dubai and Oman within a year. He disclosed that the NEC had already completed work for Plot No 13 of City of Lights, a waterfront project by Abu Dhabi’s leading master developer Tamouh Investments.

The work in the plot included piling and other infrastructure related operations and has been completed in just over 4 months since ground breaking in June2008.

To support its growth strategy, NEC has already mobilized manpower and machinery to the UAE including 22 heavy duty rigs, 18 cranes and 15 Vibro Hammers.

NEC is currently focused on piling works and plans to diversify the business to include infrastructure related works such as flyovers, underpasses, and metro and marine works.
