Baosteel upgrades strategic cooperation with Dongfeng Nissan

It is reported that Baosteel Group and Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company has promoted their strategic cooperation scope, breaking the habit of auto makers in Japan monopolizing new auto design auto sheet processing and coating.

As one of the strategic agent of Baosteel, Dongfeng Nissan's auto sheet purchasing volume takes up above 50% of the former's total production. This new move will generally spread to nine fields between the two sides covering products R&D, manufacture, supply chain building, production & sales linking, etc.

The cooperation upgrade is considered as a new cooperative model between China steelmakers and automobile industry which is likely to lead the way in the two industries, pointed out by experts.
