It is reported that Chery Autos has only sold 320,000 vehicles in the first 11 months of 2008, down by 8.9% YoY. Hammered by the sudden economic recession, it has lost both domestic and abroad markets.
In the year early, Chery made an annual plan to sell 480,000 cars including 300,000 at home and 180,000 at abroad. However, the latest data shows that its sales from Jan to Nov only reached 323,612, making it inevitably fail to carry out the mission this year.
In 2007, Chery has totally shipped out 119,800 cars, accounting for 31.53% of the totally 380,000 sales. In the light of this proportion, export in this year should touch 37.5% of the annual sales.
