It is reported that Benxi Iron & Steel Company Limited is planning to spend over CNY 10 billion in the new year in a bid to build some large projects like No 3 CR plant etc in Dongfeng River Processing Zone after the launching of its 8# and 9# coke ovens last year. This is the first time for Benxi Steel to fix on its principal industry location.

As per report, the construction of the processing zone will be carried out in 3 stages. At present, the starting work has been well finished and the project is entering into the construction stage. The relocation work is planned to be finished before June this year.

The accomplishment of infrastructure construction work plays an important role in attracting investments and creates a sound condition for the Benxi Steel to settle some large projects in the zone.

The steel mill expects to realize 13.6 million tonnes per year of steel output and output value of CNY 100 billion by 2010. As a result, Dongfeng River Processing Zone provides an ideal place for Benxi Steel to expand its production capacity and strengthen the further development in the future.
