Zhongyou BSS Petropipe Co put into production

It is reported that, Zhongyou BSS Petropipe Co Ltd has successfully finished its 1st phase project and realized batch production lately with gross investment of CNY 1.5 billion.
As a JV founded by Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co Ltd and UMW Petropipe Co Ltd, a company in Malaysia, Zhongyou BSS is designed to be built in 2 phases.
Its first phase has completed a big diameter SSAW pipe production line and a both sides anticorrosion line.
At present the company is busy in making large-diameter SSAW pipes for the Khorgos-Zhongwei-Jingbian Part of the second line of West-East Gas Transmission.
In 2009, the JV is expected to reach a 0.35 million tonnes of capacity and realize CNY 3.5 billion of production value.
