Trade Arabia cited Mr Hassan Al Majid director of General Organization of Sea Ports as saying that Khalifa Bin Salman Port will start operations next month and Mina Salman will remain operative for the next 10 years at least.
The BHD 160 million seaports is one of the latest and largest in the region. It is capable of receiving giant sea cruisers with depth of up to 15 meters.
Mina Khalifa has latest technology equipment, with capacity in phase I of 1.1m containers and 2.5m containers in phase II.
