Hanjin Shipping Co said that it plans to spend USD 875 million in 2009 to buy ships and build container terminals. The earmarked capital spending is up by 17% YoY from last year's USD 748 million.
Hanjin said earlier that it plans to add 11 container vessels and 20 bulk carriers to its fleet by the end of 2012 to grab a bigger share of the global shipping market.
