Projects Today reported that the Mughal road project which will connect Kashmir valley with the rest of the country is likely to be completed by March 2011. The road is being developed at a cost of INR 639.85 crore.
Until now, INR 233 crore has been spent on 84 kilometer road from Shopian in the Valley to Bafliaz in Poonch district of Jammu region. The earth work has been completed for single lane for the entire length, while for double lane up to 56 kilometer has been completed. Meanwhile, 56 culverts are completed and work is apace for 43 more culverts and 2 bridges.
