Bloomberg reported that Nippon Yusen KK plans to build and expand port terminals for cars in India and China. It will build a terminal at India's Port of Mundra by about 2011 with a local company.

As per report, the facility will allow two cargo ships to load and unload cars at the same time, and have a holding bay to park about 10,000 vehicles. Nippon Yusen is also planning to eventually build another terminal near the Port of Chennai in India.

In China, Nippon Yusen plans to about triple capacity at its Tianjin and Shanghai car shipping terminals. It will also consider building a facility in Guangzhou, where Toyota Motor Corporation, Honda Motor Co and other automakers have factories.
