APM plans LNG terminal at Pipavav
Tuesday, 21 Apr 2009

APM Terminals plans to set up an LNG terminal at Pipavav port, Gujarat as part of its expansion plans.

Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd has 400 ha for various expansion projects and one of them is setting up an LNG terminal. GPPL has already begun discussions with various global LNG players, however things were yet to be finalized. While APM Terminals will hold majority stake in the project, the remaining will be tied-up with strategic partners including LNG suppliers.

Meanwhile, APM Terminals is also in talks with technical advisors for sourcing LNG and potential buyers of gas. It has so far invested INR 1,100 crore in Pipavav port infrastructure since it took over the operations of the Pipavav port in 2005.
