Byelorussian Iron and Steel Works has issued its production results for the first four months of 2009.
Accordingly, during the given period the mill recorded a 4.3% increase in its crude steel production to 861,587 tonne and a 5.5% rise in its rolled steel production to 713,764 tonne both compared with the same period last year. Meanwhile, BMZ’s output of steel pipes decreased by 1% YoY to 13,197 tonne.
Byelorussian Iron and Steel Work’s exports for January to April 2009 amounted to a value of USD 284,763 down by 49.6% YoY.
