Reuters reported that Mr Soren Sorensen CFO of Danish shipping and oil group AP Moller-Maersk Mr would resign on May 31.
The company in a statement said that Mr Sorensen who joined the group in 2006 as CFO was resigning for personal reasons.
Mr Nils Smedegaard Andersen CEO of Maersk told Reuters that "He has been overworked in the last few months.”
Mr Andersen said that the company has not yet decided on a replacement and he would himself initially take over Mr Sorensen's key responsibilities.
