Ukraine offers Libya to take part in Odesa Port Side privatization
Sunday, 31 May 2009

Interfax-Ukraine citing Ms Yulia Tymoshenko Ukrainian Prime Minister has said that Libya with its supplies of natural gas could be a good partner for Ukraine's chemical enterprises which use natural gas as a raw material.

She said while opening the talks in the Libyan capital of Tripoli that "Ukrainian chemical plants are economically viable when they have enough natural gas. Libya could help these enterprises make profit."

Ms Tymoshenko noted that the privatization of OJSC Odesa Port-Side Plant is currently underway and suggested Libya could participate in this process. She said that the enterprise's location on the Black Sea coast and a large volume of mineral fertilizers which it produces could be of interest to Libyan partners.
