It is reported that Anshan Iron & Steel Group is informed recently that their ship hulls and marine oil production platform used shipbuilding quality plates are authorized by the USA, China, Norway, Germany and Japan.
The new shipbuilding plates fill the gap in China and help China's large-sized vessels and oil production platform to lower cost and enhance manufacturing technology. So far, Angang has produced 150,000 tonnes of the products which have been widely affirmed about good function and high quality.
The products that get the certifications are A, B, C, D and E regular strength classes of steel bar and AH32-EH32, AH36-EH36 and AH40-EH40 high strength classes. The maximum gauge of the plates is 100mm with weld heat input of 100kJ/cm, substantially exceeding common products' gauge of 40mm and weld heat input of 50kJ/cm.
