Exim News Service reported that Jawaharlal Nehru Port celebrated its 20th anniversary last week by honoring the top guns among Port users for their contribution to its performance in 2008-09.
Mr SS Hussain chairman of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust thanked the trade for its continuous support to the Port and expressed confidence that it would recover from the effects of the economic slump in the coming months.
Flanked by Mr Ganesh Raj of DP World (subcontinent), Mr Rustom Dastoor of DP World Nhava Sheva and Mr MP Pinto former chairman of JN Port, Mr Hussain cut the cake to mark the occasion. And the icing on the cake was the chairman accepting a Certificate of Merit presented by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering, acknowledging the Port’s operational and financial strengths.
