Turkey plans to raise its export rebar price to Persian Gulf
Sunday, 14 Jun 2009

It is reported that rebar demand has remained stable recently in the Persian Gulf and buyers have purchased some rebars from Turkey to replenish its stocks.

As per report Turkish rebar manufacturers propose raising their rate to the Persian Gulf by USD 15 per tonne in line with the increasing price of scrap. The current rebar offer for June and July shipments has risen to USD 465 per tonne but without deals being signed.

On the other hand, the Turkish import volume of stainless steel plate in April was only 13,127 tonnes which was 52% lower than it had been before, and 5% lower than in March according to the data, due to weak demand during March. However, demand gradually rebounded at the end of April.
