Severstal North America raises prices on steel products

Dow Jones reported that Severstal North America, a unit of Russia based steelmaker OAO Severstal is raising prices on a wide range of products to reflect the cost of production.

The price of Severstal North America's hot rolled bands will increase by USD 23 per 100 pounds of weight, also known as hundredweight short. Coiled rolled products will increase by USD 28 per CWT and hot dipped galvanized products will increase by USD 29 per CWT.

The price increases will be applied to all new non-contract orders, the company said. It added that all previously published price book extras will remain in effect.
