According to press release, Mr Arun Yadav has assumed charge as minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Earlier Mr was minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports.
He is a young face in the new Council of ministers, belongs to Madhya Pradesh representing Khandwa Lok Sabha constituency.
Soon after assuming the office, Mr Arun Yadav held detailed discussions with Secretary Heavy Industries, Mr Satyanarayan Dash and other senior officials of the ministry. The officials briefed the minister on the 100 days agenda of the ministry which was unveiled on last Friday.
Mr Yadav in his interaction with the senior officials of the ministry evinced keen interest in addressing the problems of heavy industry sector especially those relating to the sick industries and the urgent measures to revive them.
