Hunan Province steel consumption to rise by 50pct YoY

China Metallurgical News reported that with a view to helping large enterprises cutting stockpiles, Hunan government lately has instituted measures to promote the sales of bulk commodities such as steel products and paper.
According to the report, at the Steel Production/demand Matching Conference held lately, local large steel mills have signed 24 cooperative agreements with 10 downstream enterprises, trading a total of 1 million tonnes of steel products.
Sales volume in the province alone is expected to gain 50% compared with last year.
