According to Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, Reliance Gas, Indian Oil Corporation and Adani Energy are among the 8 companies that have bid independently or in a consortium, for building city gas distribution networks in 7 cities.
17 bids have come for the rights to build CGD networks in cities like Jhansi, Allahabad, Ghaziabad and Chandigarh in the north, Shahdol in central India and Yanam and Rajahmundry in the south. PNGRB has extended the bidding date by a month for Jhansi, Shahdol and Yanam, as it had got only single bids for the rights.
