Plastemart reported that Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical are on the lookout for firms interested in building the first stage of their JV petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia.
A solicitation of interest has been issued a few days ago an indication that the mega JV will be underway soon and could see a delay of 2 years in start up to 2015. Saudi Aramco has delayed several large projects to save money on contracting costs. 400,000 barrels per day capacity expansion plan at the Ras Tanura refinery to supply the petrochemical feedstock has also been delayed.
