It is reported that the export scrap price increased as scrap local price increased in US market. This week, the price of scrap to Taiwan has increased to USD 297 per tonne CNF by USD 7 to USD 9 per tonne from previous USD 288 to USD 290 per tonne CNF.
Some Taiwan’s mills have accepted the price at USD 295 per tonne CNF to import scarp from US, which is about TWD 150 per tonne higher than Taiwan’s domestic price.
