It is reported that Wuhan Steel has posted 25.56%YoY jump in its sales of cold rolled grain oriented silicon steel in the H1 of 2009 in which the monthly distribution in May hit the record high. The expansion consolidated the mill leading place in Chinese domestic market of CRGO.
Wuhan Steel noted that, it overcame lots of difficulties to achieve the expansion. Since the beginning of this year, market supplies increased against shrunk demands, sharpening the competition, meanwhile, the large amount of stocks forced prices to dive down at last Wuhan Steel was stranded in the sales of oriented silicon steel.
To break the deadlock and exploit the market, the mill upgraded its sales modes and applied direct distributions to big users and sales agents to small users, so as to win every possible chance and reinforce its sales net. The mill still built the rapid response system to adjust the productions and product mix according to users’ demands.
As per report, Wuhan Steel teaming with Baosteel sent the litigation of the dumping of oversea resources to the Government giving powerful hits to the vicious competition arose by imported resources. After the above efforts, Wuhan Steel finally consolidated its market position in sales of oriented silicon steel.
