Itar-Tass reported that the Russian Volkswagen plant in Kaluga has stopped the main conveyer for a planned two-week summer holiday.
Volkswagen assembles in Russia Passat, Golf, Jetta and Tiguan models as well as Skoda vehicles Skoda Octavia Tour and Skoda Oktavia.
The production in Kaluga was launched on November 28th 2007. Last year the plant produced over 60,000 vehicles.
According to ASM-Holding, in the first five months of this year, Volkswagen assembled in Russia 22,000 different car models.
