Chinese port congestion eases as iron ore vessels reduce

It is reported that the number of Capesize vessels waiting to berth at China iron ore discharge ports appears to have declined recently.

As per report, over the past week the number of Capes in queues has dropped from 65 to 59.

SSY new Capesize Iron Ore Port Congestion Index for China which provides a weighted average of berthing delays at China’s leading iron ore discharge terminal now stands at 13.3 days. This compares with 17 days in early July.
