Baosteel and Dongfeng Nissan join hands for cooperation

Baosteel and Dongfeng Nissan jointly held a summarizing and resources guarantee commending meeting for 5 year Party construction cooperation among 8 grass roots Party organizations from both parties and signed the new round "Party Construction Cooperation Agreement 2009 to 2010" together.

The meeting made the retrospect and prospect of Baosteel's all round housekeeping type service for Dongfeng Nissan, 5 year Party construction cooperation projects, expansion of Party construction cooperation projects in the next stage, technical services and new product development, etc and conferred the awards such as special contribution award for 5 year Party construction, best practitioner for Party construction and advanced personnel for resources guarantee, etc.

Over the 5 years of Party construction cooperation between Baosteel and Dongfeng Nissan, the grass roots Party organizations taking part in the co construction developed from 2 to 8. Both parties formulated core subjects such as quality improvement, logistics optimization, resources guarantee and localization in line with the theme of "sincere cooperation, partnering and win to win forging the industrial paragons" and set up subject teams in the form of Party construction cooperation agreement to jointly promote the new mode of cross industrial Party construction cooperation.

In the H1 year, the domestic automobile market was booming in both production and sales, so that the supply of automotive sheets was especially tight. In order to guarantee Dongfeng Nissan's target of challenging the production and sales of 50,000 vehicles in July, Baosteel responded clearly with the remarks "Baosteel will supply the vehicle shells as many as the engines that Dongfeng Nissan can produce!" The Party committees of Baosteel-NSC/Arcelor Automotive Sheets Co Ltd Baosteel Co Ltd. Manufacture Department, Cold Rolling Plant and Baosteel Research Institute, and the general Party branch of Baosteel Southern established "Guarantee team for steel sheets supply to Dongfeng Nissan together and carried out the labor emulations with the themes such as guaranteeing supply and striving for high output". As a result, not only the planned orders are completed but also the demands of 166 emergency orders of Dongfeng Nissan are satisfied.
