Taishan Steel inks USD 100 million pact with WEMPCO

China Metallurgical News reported that after three day talks in economic field between delegates of Shandong and Nigeria, Shandong Taishan Steel Group signed letter of intent with Western Matal Products Co Ltd days ago.
The intent letter is about the businesses of steel products, iron ores and coal, and the trade turnover will add up to USD 100 million in the first two years among the five year cooperation period.
As per report, the mill started cooperation with WEMPCO since 2007 and sold about 70,000 tonnes of steel products to its partner with trade volume up to USD 73 million.
This cooperation is reported to consolidate their relationship and will help Taishan Steel occupy African market further.
