Eastern Ore has drilled more than 560 holes across the region in the past 12 months in its search for iron ore.
Mr Peter Buckley MD of Eastern Ore said that the drilling program has highlighted a lot of areas with potential for resources.
Mr Buckley said that the company will now look to market the product for which there is strong demand.
He said that "We've believe we've found a NSW equivalent of the Western Australian channel line deposits which are known in the industry as CID. These are bulk tonnage iron deposits that are generally a lower grade, but the interesting thing here in New South Wales is that the iron mineral is magnetic."
