ThyssenKrupp bags order from new shopping mall in Moscow

Elevators, escalators and moving walks will feature in the 'River Mall' shopping and entertainment complex. ThyssenKrupp Elevator 000, a subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG, has won a contract to supply and install 33 machine room less elevators, 26 escalators and 12 moving walks for the new 'River Mall' shopping and entertainment center.

Located on the banks of the Moskva, the 250,000 square meter complex will offer space for 220 shops, a supermarket, multiplex cinema, entertainment amenities for children and adults, cafes and parking decks for more than 3,000 vehicles. The building will also house 5 restaurants with a panorama view of the surrounding area and the river.

ThyssenKrupp Elevator has been present on the Russian market with its subsidiary since 2002 and has demonstrated its technological expertise in numerous major projects including office towers, hotels, shopping centers, residential buildings and airports. Currently, the two towers of the Moscow Federation Tower are being fitted among other equipment with 22 TWIN systems. With a speed of up to 7 meters per second they are the world’s fastest exemplars of this ThyssenKrupp Elevator exclusive elevator system and a particular highlight in the Russian capital.
