Bombardier inks vehicle supply pact worth EUR 300 million

Reuters reported that Bombardier Transportation has signed a contract to supply 99 trams valued at EUR 300 million to transport operator Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe.
The first vehicles will be delivered in May 2011, while the order is expected to be completed in 2017.
Bombardier Transportation said that the order follows a framework agreement in 2006 for a maximum of 210 vehicles and includes 40 long and 24 short one way vehicles as well as 35 short bidirectional vehicles trams.
