Small coal mines go into maintenance in Henan province

It is reported that since the explosion broke out in a coal mine in Ping Dingshan city, Henan province, the city 157 coal mines have now halted production and gone into maintenance responding to the request of the government.

From September, coal mines below 300,000 tonnes per year capacities and had been operating without permission will have been halted and checked strictly.

Analysts of the industry said the H2 of a year used to be a period when coal mine incidents take place frequently. Now that the government has halted small coal mines, supply of coal at home is bound to be affected, and coal price is likely to go up in the reminder of the year. Besides, as the national day holiday is coming, safety issue is bound to be a major one of all and all entities all curb their production.
