SA steel makers call for monitoring quality of imported steel

Dealers in the steel sector have called for the monitoring of the quality of imported and locally produced steel products. The African Iron Ore & Steel Association also clamored against the dumping of sub standard steel product in the country.
A Director at the Katsina Steel Company Inuwa Dutse said that the country has become a dumping ground for sub-standard steel products, imported from neighboring countries and Asia.
