Reuters reported that Poland coal trader Weglokoks which holds a 4.98 percent stake in the nation's largest mobile operator Polkomtel may sell its stake together with other shareholders.
Mr Jerzy Podsiadlo CEO of Weglokoks said "As information from other Polish shareholders surface we are also considering a sale.”
Polkomtel which leads the market with 14.5 million users is jointly owned by Polish industrial giants PKN Orlen PKNA.WA, KGHM KGHM.WA unlisted utility PGE and Vodafone.
PKN under pressure to reduce debt has been spearheading the push to sell Polkomtel, which would likely fetch a premium if a controlling stake were to be sold.
