Khaleej Times reported that as Abu Dhabi emerges as one of the most active oil and gas project markets in the world, MEED estimates that the emirate will spend more than USD 30 billion on new schemes between March 2009 and March 2010 as it aims to seize the momentum while benefiting from low materials and engineering costs.
This is in line with Abu Dhabi's goal to increase oil production capacity to 3.5 million barrels per day by 2019. Abu Dhabi Conference 2009, the 5th edition of the definitive event for doing business in the UAE's capital which runs from November 10th to 12th 2009 has confirmed the participation of key government officials and oil and gas industry experts who will discuss the future of their activities across Abu Dhabi.
