Rays of recovery - Hero Honda sales in September up by 4.2pct

India's largest two wheeler maker Hero Honda reported a 4.16% jump in its sales at 401,290 units in September compared to sales in the same month last year. The company had sold 385,262 units in September last year.
Hero Honda Motors in a statement said that for the second consecutive time, the company has recorded more than 400,000 dispatch sales in a single month.
During July to September quarter, the company witnessed an increase of 21.7% in its sales at 1,183,235 units over the same period last year.
Mr Anil Dua senior VP marketing & sales of Hero Honda Motors said that "We have been successfully able to leverage the festive season demand, which is spread over two months this year, to post unprecedented sales in this quarter."
He added that the company is expecting its retail sales in the festive season to surpass 600000 units mark that it had achieved last year.
