Abu Dhabi Ship Building will feature its shipbuilding excellence at the Middle East Workboat Exhibition and Conference taking place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from October 5th to 7th 2009.
Since starting operations in 1996, ADSB has grown to more than 1,200 employees and is the region's leading naval ship builder because of its expertise in the construction of highly complex naval ships including the integration of weapon combat systems.
ADSB has also increased its presence in the commercial ship building sector with a large list of local and international clients. ADSB's shipyard in Abu Dhabi currently has 74 ships on order along with 32 ship refits and upgrades underway in addition to its large maintenance output with ships being repaired and maintained daily for a wide variety of commercial and military customers.
ADSB is helping support sea patrol services for government security forces such as those used by Critical National Infrastructure Authority. A rise in sea piracy in international waters has seen an increase in the need for sea patrol boats with a particular growth in demand from commercial companies who are looking to security vessels to assist in protecting cargo.
Mr William Stewart VP of ADSB said that "As we are based here in Abu Dhabi, the heart of the workboat industry, we can provide full in service support including maintenance for the entire life of the vessel."
He said that "With barges, tugs, landing craft, multicats, a cutter suction dredger and a high speed aluminum crew on our list of workboat achievements we hope to show the world that Abu Dhabi Ship Building has the expertise to deliver purpose built boats that meet individual customer needs."
He added that ADSB will be located at Stand D1 at the Middle East Workboat Exhibition and Conference at ADNEC between October 5th and 7th 2009.
