Arabian Oil & Gas reported that a major contract to upgrade 14 bulk fuel plants in the KSA has been awarded by energy giant Saudi Aramco to a local company according to sources close to the project.
As per report, MS Al Suwaidi Industrial Services Company are the successful bidders for the USD 200 million contract which will see storage capacity for Aramco’s oil products increased across the Kingdom.
The contract is a major coup for Suwaidi as other the bidders for the project included industry contracting giants such as Petrofac, Technip, Tecnicas Reunidas and SK Engineering & Construction.
The contract is due to last for 30 months and it is believed that Suwaidi will sub contract the engineering work to a specialist contractor.
