First section of Abu Dhabi Metro to be ready by 2015

Gulf News reported that Abu Dhabi is aiming to have the first segment of its Metro rail line operational by October 2015.
Mr Abdul Gader Al Shabani senior Transportation Planning Specialist said at a Meed conference that the feasibility study to build a Metro in Abu Dhabi would begin in November and last 21 months.
He said that "Stage 2 will involve a preliminary design and detailed implementation schedule. In stage 3, there will be the final contract documentation and tender award."
