It is reported that Vietnam's consumption of long products dropped by 28% MoM in September to 288,000 tonnes, but still significantly increased by 182% YoY.
As per report, production of long product was 364,000 tonnes, down by 5.5% MoM and up by 204% YoY.
For January to September 2009 period, the Vietnam's steel output reached 3 million tonnes, up by 14% YoY and consumption was about 3.05 million tonnes, up by 32% YoY.
It is expected that Vietnam's steel consumption will hit 5.2 million tonnes in 2009, up by 28% YoY.
