Taiwanese steel plate import prices drops to USD 500 per tonne

It is reported that Taiwan's steel plate import price has dropped to USD 500 per tonne and it's even around TWD 2,000 per tonne lower than current price level due to very weak demand.
It is said that there is an overseas steel mill even would like to contact Taiwan’s mills directly and it may offer lower price.
Taiwan's steel mills also bid the price at USD 490 per tonne but there are only very few deals so far because the mills are not confident for future market.
