It is reported that Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer plans in 2009 to produce 683,000 tonnes of ferroalloys ie 18% less than in 2008.
Accordingly, the first signs of stabilization of the situation at NZF were registered in June this year. Since July, when the plant reached almost 100% production capacity utilization, its monthly output has amounted to 78,000 tonnes to 82,000 tonnes of ferroalloys. NZF expects to maintain the same output level during the rest of the current year.
NZF production capacities allow it to produce 1 million tonnes of silicomanganese per year, 250,000 tonnes per year of high carbon ferromanganese and more than 15,000 tonnes per year of medium carbon ferromanganese.
