RIA Novosti reported that Uzbekistan agreed at talks on Thursday to resume gas supplies to neighboring Kyrgyzstan.
On September 24th Uzbekistan which is the sole gas exporter to the former Soviet republic, shut off supplies to southern Kyrgyzstan and decreased deliveries to the north of the country over debts of USD 18.8 million.
According to the report, at talks in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent the two sides agreed that Kyrgyzstan which has paid off USD 4.6 million of its debt would make 100% advance payments three times a month.
