It is reported that one of the Chin’s leading mills offered USD 475 per tonne for HRC of 30,000 tonnes through traders to Taiwan recently.
A market participant said once the cargo successfully penetrates into the Taiwan market, Taiwan market will be in chaos. They said that according to the current Taiwan market situation, the price of HRC from China is about USD 90 per tonne lower than that in Taiwan.
Some market participants reckoned that China Steel Corporation should negotiate with the Chinese mills about this issue to prevent the Taiwan market from disorder.
