US DOC rescinds AD review of Belgian SS plate in coils

US Department of Commerce has announced on October 14th 2009 that the rescission of its antidumping duty administrative review on stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium.

Following a timely request dated June 1st 2009 to conduct an administrative review from ArcelorMittal Stainless Belgium NV on June 24th 2009, the DOC published in the Federal Register the notice of initiation of this administrative review of the antidumping duty order on stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium covering one respondent, AMS Belgium, for the period May 1st 2008 through April 30th 2009.

On September 22nd 2009, AMS Belgium timely withdrew its request for review. Thus, the DOC has rescinded this administrative review pursuant to the act laying down the DOC will rescind an administrative review, in whole or in part, if the parties that requested a review withdraw the request within 90 days of the date of publication of the notice of initiation of the requested review.
